August Rudolph Day

It's Rudolph Day again and from today until the end of the month there is a Christmas card challenge at Scrappymo's.

I've made an ultra quick and easy card to showcase some of my lovely new sparkly washi tape.

I simply cut strips to gradually shorter lengths (if I'd used normal washi I'd have probably torn them but the sparkly stuff doesn't tear well) and arranged them haphazardly into a higgledy-piggledy tree. The trunk is more washi and the star is made with a double sided adhesive sticker and some glitter. The sentiment was a magazine freebie about 150 years ago. Or so.

I've never seen sparkly washi tape before Jane, it certainly looks different and makes a great card. You were right about my cards they are Owls not cats.

oh, wow, I love this sparkly tree and the colours are so pretty! I've never seen glittered washi tape either but it would be so much easier than fighting with adhesives and glitter paper. :) thank you so much for sharing with us at the Rudolph days challenge!

What a cute Washi tree card. I have the glitter Washi tape too. I really like it as it is not see thru like some washi and it so nice and thin to tuck under cardstock when u use it as ribon.
Great card!
Thanks for taking part in the August Rudolph Days Challenge.

A clever idea for washi tape. I have some but am rarely inspired to use it.
